Hanover Building – Booster Set
Flowtech Water Solutions Design and Supply Combined Booster Set and Water Storage Tank to Hanover Building – Leigh Infirmary.
After being approached by a leading North West, HVAC design practice, Flowtech were actively involved in the design and supply of a bespoke booster system.
The combined booster unit was required to provide consistent pressure to the showers, basins and other outlets within the building. It also had to provide a steady supply of pressurised water to a reverse osmosis system at the opposite end of the building.
After looking at the drawings and the relatively small floor space in the plant room. Flowtech designed a system, with an elevated 1300 litre storage tank, mounted above a twin pump IDC-E booster set. The tank was divided internally for maintenance and due to the need to keep the plant running 24/7.
Although there was a need to keep the plant continually in use, the project benefitted from the standard features of the Flowboost IDC-E range of booster sets. Each unit has twin pumps and inverters as standard. Other standard features include twin transducers and twin pressure vessels. This means that unless there is water or power failure, the unit cannot be stopped due to the failure of a single component. This gives the client ultimate confidence in the product. Also guaranties as supply of water to the building though the boosted system.
The unit was supplied and commissioned by Flowtech engineers. Now the building is fully operational and handed over to the NHS. This system is again covered by Flowtech 24/7, 365 day a year coverage. Giving the customer peace of mind in the unlikely event of a problem occurring.
