Flowtech Water Solutions has recently supplied a Booster Set and Tank to Heys Court in Stockport – the job also included us supplying Heat Interface Units. These units maximise the options available to the building operator in terms of circuit working temperatures. They do this by having the primary unit separate from the apartment space heating by a plate heat exchanger.
This unit has domestic hot water terminal points left available for connection to a DHW storage cylinder. The Domestic Hot Water at the taps is at a closely controlled temperature, and the heating circuits come with integral circulator. Although the equipment inventory is substantial, all of this is in a well-designed casing. Signals from room temperature thermostats are routed to the zone valve (enabling isolation of the complete heating circuit) and to the circuit thermostatic valve (enabling modulation to maintain desired value). An auxiliary pressure controller across the thermostatic valve ensures this every time.
With applications varying from 1-bed flats to multiple bedroom properties, a FlatStation can be found to suit every eventuality. The smallest output Water Heater is just 35kW, whereas the largest unit can manage 90 kW.
